Client structure
Companies organize work; people sign in
Companies and people are separate records. A company groups contacts, projects, and upload history. A person is the credentialed client identity that can belong to one or more companies.
- Companies
- Use Companies for the client organization or account. Creating a company also creates its first person; add more contacts from the company page.
- People
- Use People to manage a client’s name, email, company memberships, credentials, status, and exact project assignments in one place.
Memberships, credentials, and access
- A person must belong to at least one company and uses one identity across all of their companies.
- Contacts listed on a company page are the same client identities listed in the People directory.
- Each person receives a one-use password setup or reset link that expires after seven days.
- Every project assignment uses one active company as that person’s context; the same person cannot represent two companies on one project.
- Disabling a person signs them out and removes every project assignment. Re-enable them before assigning projects again.
- Disabling a company removes assignments made through that company. People who still belong to another active company keep that other access.
- Workspace owners and administrators manage Companies and People; operators work from their assigned staff views.
